Do I have to pay dues to be a member of the Tidewater Community College Alumni Association?
No. The Tidewater Community College Alumni Association does not require the payment of dues. As a graduate of TCC or a student who completed 24 or more credit hours, you automatically become an Alumni Association member. Any student who attended classes at TCC may request to become a member by e-mailing the TCCAA at alumni@tcc.edu.

How do I get a transcript? Is there a fee? How long does it take?
At TCC's transcript Web site, you will find information on how to request your transcript and view your transcript online. TCC does not charge a transcript processing fee, and transcripts are usually mailed out in three-to-five business days. Due to federal privacy regulations, TCC cannot release information on your student record without written permission that includes your signature. TCC cannot accept e-mailed transcript requests. If you are unable to access the Transcript Request form on the Web site contact the TCC Information Center for assistance, call: 757.822.1122, 1.800.371.0898 or email: info@tcc.edu.

How do I update my contact information with the Alumni Association?

Where is the Office of Alumni Relations located?
The Office of Alumni Relations is located in the Green District Administration Building, 121 College Place, near TCC's Norfolk Campus. You can contact the Alumni Relations Office by calling 757.822.1770, faxing to 757.822.1007, e-mailing alumni@tcc.edu, or mailing to Alumni Relations Office, Tidewater Community College, 121 College Place, Norfolk, Virginia 23510

I'm interested in transferring my credits to another institution. Can you offer any advice on resources?

I've just graduated and have not received my diploma. When should I expect it and how will it be sent to me?
Diplomas for approved applicants will be mailed to the student's current mailing address, as recorded in SIS, within 4 to 6 weeks of the actual conferral date.

How can I receive a copy of my diploma if the original is lost or damaged?
Students whose diplomas have been lost or damaged may request a duplicate diploma, provided that the student does not have any outstanding debt to the college. Please submit a Request for Replacement Diploma form via fax or mail. Reissued diploma requests normally take 5 to 7 business days to process.

I no longer live in the area. What do I do to remain involved with the TCCAA?
Please contact the Alumni Relations Office for more information on opportunities to remain involved in the TCCAA.

How can I find out what alumni activities are happening in my area?

As an alumnus, may I use any of the facilities (Student Center or Learning Resource Center) at TCC?
While the Norfolk Campus Student Center and the student centers planned for TCC's Chesapeake, Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach campuses are for use by current TCC students, you may utilize any of the college LRCs. Also, if you would like to check out library materials, please be sure to bring your photo ID and proof of your current local address to the Circulation Desk to receive a library card.

What do I need to do to participate in one of TCCAA's committees?
Please contact the Alumni Relations Office at alumni@tcc.edu for information on joining any of the current TCCAA committees.

How do I nominate someone to the TCCAA Board of Directors?
You can nominate any alumnus or alumna to the TCCAA Board of Directors by contacting the Alumni Relations Office.
